More details about the sessions:

Yoga with Aimée: In the yoga class at this event we will take some time to tune into the body and learn about pranayama (breath control). We will then move through sections of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary series.

The Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary series is an energetic set sequence of synchronised movement and breath designed to cleanse the body and focus the mind.
I love adapting classes to make them accessible for beginners and exploring asana modifications for individuals as I believe Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga can be for everyone. Do reach out ahead of our event if you have any concerns or if I (Aimée) can make any adjustments to make you feel more comfortable.

Drinks and snack breaks: Grace will make some fresh fruit and vegetable juices to nourish your body between sessions. There will also be a selection of energy boosting snacks! Teas and Coffees available throughout the day.

Sun Salutation Workshop : In our workshop we will cover the fundamental principles of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice. We will set the foundations of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice by covering the pranayama (breath control), the bandhas (energy locks) and dristi (gaze). We will then move through and discuss the opening sequence including Surya Namaskar A and Surya Namaskar B (our sun salutations). As we will be a small group we can take time to look at individual form and talk through adjustments that may work for individuals.
You can expect to leave this workshop with a bite size practice you can move through at home OR if you are looking to move into a Mysore (self led) style practice this will be a perfect workshop to set you up with the foundations.

Cooking workshop: I (Grace) will plan a seasonal menu for the day for us all to sit down and enjoy, you will have the chance to learn how to make an element. This session will give you tips and tricks for plant-based food that I have learned in my professional career. You will leave this session with the skills to make a new healthy and delicious meal in your home kitchens.

We love food and believe it is important to understand where our ingredients come from, how they help to nourish our bodies and make eating good quality food simple and accessible. I will share the knowledge I have curated on plant-based eating and incorporating more plants into your daily life.

You do not need to be an experienced cook or have access to fancy equipment at home, just open to learning and developing some skills. Come with questions and we will give you a few recipe cards to take away with you as well as great ideas of places across Bristol to buy seasonal produce.

Sit down meal: Our meals are always shared around a communal table with a range of dishes. Expect a vibrant spread incorporating a range of seasonal and local produce including aubergines, wild mushrooms, fennel, figs and much more! All dishes will complement the activities of the day to leave you feeling revitalised and refreshed. Save room for dessert!!
